Dr. Vernell Deslonde is passionate about academic success, access and equity, and providing an atmosphere where students thrive and graduate. Accomplished educational professional with more than 20 years of experience in K12 and higher education, Dr. Deslonde is the Director of College and Career Readiness at Fontana Unified School District. A seasoned district leader who believes in a student-driven approach to learning, Dr. Deslonde has a penchant for building and delivering high-quality educational programs while leading dynamic teams that support school counseling, college affordability, AVID, Advanced Placement, post-secondary partnerships, and dual enrollment.

Dr. Deslonde has served on several local and national boards and foundations, as well as statewide and national steering and advisory committees on technology, college admissions, college preparedness, and secondary education.
