Quay Dorsey is a Senior ProgramManager in Postsecondary Pathways and Career Mobility at WestEd. Mr. Dorsey’s work focuses on evaluation, equitable data collection and analysis, and projects that improve equity gaps for students of color and students who are poor. His current roles include leading two policy implementation projects supporting organizations in effective dissemination of resources and best practices for new financial aid legislation (CA AB 469 & CA AB 737). Before joining WestEd, he spent a decade working within the Washington, DC, public school system as a curriculum writer, STEM educator, program developer, grant writer, and teacher coach. He is passionate about research and initiatives that close gaps for students during the transition from K–12 school to postsecondary school and/or career.
