Gabrielle is a fifth year High School Principal at Calexico High School. Calexico High School is located on the border town of Calexico and Mexicali. Over 3,200 students attend Calexico High School every day. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. She started her teaching career as a Jr. High History teacher and enjoyed it for seven years. She is starting her sixteenth year as a site administrator including eight years as a Principal. As a High School Principal she has restructured and implemented new programs that include AVID, new AP courses, establishing the only NJROTC program in the Imperial Valley and managing to close a campus for the first time since it opened its doors in 1954. Gabrielle is excited and honored to be the Principal of Calexico High School. In the 2018-2019 academic school year, she and her team met their goal of increasing the number of FAFSA applications. This year, their goal is to increase the number of college applications.
She has been the first and only college graduate in her family since 1997. That will soon change. One of her nephews is a Junior at SDSU majoring in Kinesiology Physical Therapy. Her other nephew is a Sophomore at Chico State with a double major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. She is the proud mother of two gifted and loving boys.
